In order to facilitate this, we require a talented and experienced Food Production Machine Operator to support the company through the changes necessary to achieve our objectives.
Fourayes Farm is the UK’s number one Apple grower and processor, supplying fresh Apple, fruit fillings, Jams, Mincemeats and Purees to the Bakery and Dairy industry, our products are to be found in the end products of the largest multiple retails in the world.
The Food Production Machine Operator will be leading a small team operating modern food manufacturing equipment, producing fruit fillings/jams/mincemeats following the production plan and ensuring that the product is manufactured safely and efficiently to achieve the customers’ delivery and quality expectations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of manufacturing equipment in line with the company H&S policy.
- Quality and food safety throughout the process.
- Follow the production plan ensuring batch cycle times are achieved.
- Follow product recipe and manufacturing method.
- Ensure all stock and labour usage is recorded accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following CAYG principles.
- Provide a detailed handover at shift change to the incoming operator/area supervisor
Education and Qualifications
The successful candidate should have high levels of numeracy and literacy and, will ideally have previous experience of FMCG or food manufacturing and machine operation, a certificate in basic food hygiene and HACCP would be desirable, though not essential.
Working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern with start times between 06:00 and 14:00 in line with the business requirements..
Covid-19 Procedures 2022
All employees will be required to wear a face covering while working onsite, keeping to the social distancing rules and washing hands etc. We are also asking all employees to take a weekly lateral flow test (ideally over the weekend, ready for the new week ahead) and report the results into HR to maintain a COVID free environment.

Join the Bramley Apple Picking team in the Autumn
If you don’t work all week in the factory then you can join the picking team in September & October. It’s £10 per bin for the 1st pick. Also great if you are student looking for holiday work.
