What you’ll be doing

Based at Fourayes Farm in Bicknor, Kent and reporting to the General Manager of Puratos Fourayes with a dotted line to Puratos UK’s Marketing Director, you’ll take ownership of product management and communication for all fruit and confectionery fillings ingredients including jams, compotes, caramels and glazes. You’ll be working closely with the sales and R&D teams to help grow the fillings categories in Puratos and support our customers.

You’ll manage and execute all marketing activity for fruit and confectionery filling ingredients, in line with our 4 pillars of marketing:

  1. Product
  • Be the product expert for fruit and confectionery fillings
  • efine and manage the portfolio including profitability of the range
  • Ensure all products / brands have clear and relevant propositions and price positioning
  • Manage projects including new launches, portfolio reviews and benchmarking
  • Work with Puratos Group marketing colleagues and the R&D team to define and manage short, medium and long term product focus and innovation pipeline
  1. Communications
  • Define the communication plan and campaigns to ensure visibility and high awareness of products and capabilities in the market and across channels
  • Build corporate image by driving thought leadership and other high-quality content
  • Manage all comms including sales tools, advertising, PR, social media, direct marketing, trade marketing, sponsorships, events
  1. Market intel
  • Collect and communicate relevant PESTLE factors
  • Inspire the sales, marketing and technical teams to work closely together to ensure innovations, finished products and concepts are based on robust consumer insights
  • Collect, analyse and present consumer insight for NPD and ad-hoc research
  1. Customer
  • Support sales in growing key customers through the presentation of market insights
  • Engage with stakeholders at customers and provide marketing support, including relevant project related consumer and category insights

You’ll have

  • Relevant prior experience within marketing, ideally in the food industry
  • A university degree in Business and/or Marketing. CIM or MBA preferred
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Excellent copywriting skills: Product descriptions, digital copy, press releases, blogs, editing/proofreading
  • Experience in briefing agencies to ensure objectives are delivered
  • The ability to communicate in an engaging and professional manner and build relationships
  • A curious and data-driven mindset
  • Drive for innovation and teamwork
  • Self-motivation and autonomy
  • Good marketing knowledge (theoretical & practical) and up to date with developments marketing
  • Ability to travel in the UK and internationally (Full clean driver’s license)

Full product training will be provided so knowledge of ingredients is not necessary but an interest in food manufacturing is essential.
