Steve joined Fourayes in June 2005 bringing with him a wealth of engineering experience from many diverse and varied backgrounds giving him an innovative and fresh perspective on our industry.

Steve completed a 5 year engineering apprenticeship and went on to train as an industrial manager within the electrical and electronic trade before moving to manage an engineering department within a wood mill manufacturing reproduction furniture. Further promotion took him on to one of the country’s best known double glazing manufactures in charge of product development, engineering services and health and safety.

Following a brief encounter with pharmaceuticals as an Industrial cleaning manager Steve is now an established member of the management team. Outside work Steve enjoys a variety of interests including motorcycling and music and likes to travel whenever possible.



Greig Jordan, Engineering Supervisor

Greig also started working at Fourayes straight from school in 1996 as an engineering apprentice. Working his way up through the department to the current position of engineering team leader.

The role is to run and supervise the day to day operation of the engineering shift team to ensure that all activities including planned maintenance, repairs and improvements are carried out effectively, efficiently and safely.



Trevor Smith, Engineering Supervisor

After a 4 year apprenticeship with aircraft electronics manufacturer Marconi Avionics, gaining an ONC and HNC along the way, he then joined a supplier of electronic assembly equipment as a field service engineer.

After this he joined a start-up company, going from 4 people to over 20 in just 10 years, designing and building and supplying electronic assembly equipment as production/technical manager. Among his other duties was the design of new products as well as being the technical backup for both customers and control of the service /installation engineers in the field. Whilst here his job took him to a good many worldwide locations such as Singapore, South Africa, America as well as all over continental Europe.

Moving to Honeywell in 2002 he took up a post as a Systems engineer responsible for the service, fault finding, routine maintenance and calibration of high value precision measuring instruments and the associated computer controls used in the manufacture of paper and plastic sheeting mainly in the South East but including some customers in the rest of the country Deciding to give up the wandering lifestyle of field engineering in 2012 he joined Fourayes in 2016 as Engineering Supervisor to bring his knowledge of electrical and controls engineering to enhance the skill set of the engineering team.



Lee Adams, Engineer

Lee started working at Fourayes straight from school in 1991 as an engineering apprentice. Promoted in 1994 to 2nd engineer standing in to cover holidays and absence.

In 1997 Lee was given responsibility for maintenance activities including projects, parts and materials ordering etc. Since joining the team has increased from 3 to 6 engineers operating a 2 shift system.

The role also includes organising and overseeing contractors, out of hours maintenance activities and holiday cover.
