Supporting Hadlow College’s plans for an apprenticeship scheme

We are continually improving and updating our products and getting apprentices involved is one of the best ways of maintaining high standards in the fruit industry.

Kent is the Garden of England and it’s important to recognise that the best fruit in the country is grown here and is processed locally. Fourayes has  stayed ahead in the market over the past 60 years through innovation and invention. We hope the new generation of apprentices from Hadlow will prove creative and inspiring and move the fruit industry forward.

Fourayes Food Development works hand in hand with customers to come up with specialised bespoke products to fit today’s market. Our key members of staff are all experts in their field and we plan to double our turnover in the next five years from 11 million to 22 million. We are currently developing banoffee puree, using it in smoothies and also plan to launch the banoffee donut! In Europe, our sales team has been amazed at the success of our Bramley apple beer along with Fourayes apple & strawberry Dried Fruit Infusions which can be used in cereal bars. They have a long life but are also soft for eating. This year has been a particularly good one for Fourayes as we continue to win awards and increase sales for our fruit fillings, mincemeat, and jams.

Fourayes Managing Director, Phil Acock, said 'Fourayes is investing heavily in innovation and is planning to double turnover in the next five years by reaching new markets throughout Europe. It’s a competitive marketplace and apprenticeship schemes like the one at Hadlow are the best way of making sure Fruit Growers in Britain stay ahead of the game'.
